Seattle Birthday Maternity Photo Shoot at Washington Park Arboretum

I met the Britt family at the Washington Park Arboretum for their Father's Day mini photo shoot that also doubled as their maternity announcement AND birthday photos for Holden. haha This family is so sweet to work with. I love how they totally trust us to take photos and are willing to do whatever we ask them to...except Holden of course who insisted on sticking his tongue out at all times. Nothing we could do would make him close those lips hehe Thank you so much Britt family for working with the Happy Film Company again! Congratulations on becoming a family of 4!! xx Chamonix

- How did you feel before your photo shoot?
I was happy that it was a beautiful day and I was with my family on Fathers Day

- What advice do you have for someone preparing for their photo shoot?
Go with the flow of the moment, have fun and be yourself!

- What is your happiest memory from your photo shoot?
Watching my little boy show you how high he can jump and I loved watching him run free through the grass with balloons. I also loved watching my son and husband together as you snapped a few of the two of them.

- If someone were hesitating to book a shoot with the Happy Film Company, what would you say to them?
Oh, that's silly. tHFC are relaxed, easy and you end up with beautiful family photos. They're priced right and turn your photos around quickly which I really appreciate. Both Chamonix & Ashley are awesome peeps- chill and fun to be around! These fleeting moments of life are so precious, be sure to stop once in a while and allow someone to capture a little piece of it ❤️

Seattle Mother's Day Photoshoot at Sammamish River Trail Woodinville

Sometimes I become a professional stuffed animal photographer. The Seng family booked their Seattle family photography mini session for Mother's Day but of course, some things don't always go according to plan. As it turned out, it wasn't mom who was the center of attention and it wasn't even sweet little Sharlett...no no, it was Sharlett's puppy dog that stole the show.  Sharlett wouldn't smile for the camera but doggie was quite the little ham. It was pretty cute though because once we started giving doggie all of the attention and making him the star of the show, Miss. Sharlett suddenly started smiling. hehe

Sometimes as your Seattle family portrait photographer we have to throw everything we know out the window and start photographing stuffed animals. It's shoots like this that teach me so much about working with kids and finding creative ways to help them come out of their shell so we can take pictures of them that capture who they really are - not just a fake smile at the camera because we told her to (why would that be special?). We were able to get real smiles because she was happy about her doggie and this "I take doggie with me everywhere" phase of her life is definintly something special to be remembered. Thank you so much Seng family for bringing doggie out for his very own photo shoot on Mother's Day! Good luck with baby #2 and we hope to see you in front of the camera soon! x Chamonix & tHFC team

Natural Outdoor Seattle Maternity Photography at Olympic Sculpture Park

I had a blast with the Peterson family during their family maternity photography shoot at Olympic Sculpture Park by the Seattle waterfront. Their daughter, Gwendolyn, who is 2.5 years old is full of somersaults and smiles. She completely stole the show!

It made me so happy to watch this sweet family of 3 playing together, with their little guy in the belly just a week away from delivery! I loved this moment where I got to watch a family of 3 on the brink of becoming a family of 4. It's such an epic moment where their whole lives are about to change. Again! (Just like when families are about to have their first baby.) Being there to take pictures in the last moments of this chapter of their lives is a thrill.

Even more exciting though, is when I get to be there for the end of one chapter and the beginning of the next chapter.

Peterson Family - Cute Family Photos - the Happy Film Company - Seattle Family Photography

After seeing the photos from their Seattle maternity photo shoot, the Peterson family decided to book our Baby's 1st Year Package! Squeezing family photos into your busy schedule is tricky - especially when you have a new baby. Our Baby's 1st Year package a special Seattle family photography package that includes 4 photo shoots spread out over the course of one year. We offer this package to parents who are excited to capture the amazing growth of their children (they grow so fast it's crazy) and want to build a personal relationship with the Happy Film Company as their regular family photography team.

Often, families will hire us to take their Seattle maternity family photos and then once their baby arrives they book their full Baby's 1st Year package.

Doing it this way gives families a taste of what it's like to work with us before they purchase the full year package!

What makes The Baby's 1st Year package so GREAT?

  1. You're buying in bulk, which saves you money! (Something we all enjoy, am I right?)
  2. It helps you stick to your commitment to get regular family photos (we get those shoots scheduled and ready ahead of time before life gets too busy - don't worry, it happens to the best of us).
  3. It ensures that the magical growth of your baby's first year of life is captured in a collection of photographs that are consistent and beautifully styled!
  4. AND for families who plan on getting family photos taken regularly, the baby's first year package is an amazing way to start building a relationship with us (the Happy Film Company team) right from the beginning! (We plan on sticking around for a long, long time! We love being there to watch as your family grows and we consider it an absolute honor to create these special photos for you right from the beginning.)
