Seattle Family Photography at Volunteer Park Conservatory

I've finally found it! My go-to "feel-like-I'm-in-the-desert-when-I'm-actually-in-Seattle" photo shoot location! The Dullum family asked if we could take their winter Seattle family photos at the Conservatory in Volunteer Park on Capitol Hill. It only costs adults $4 to get in and once you're in oh-boy is it beautiful. The big glass windows let in beautiful light that will make your skin glow in your photos. The air is warm but not too humid (thankfully) and you definitely don't need a jacket. There are rooms with desert plants (where I fell in love) and rooms with jungle plants. There a little pond for your kids to dip their fingers in and a couple benches where you can sit and cuddle, have a snack, tie shoelaces or draw (if you choose to bring along a sketch book and crayons to your photo shoot). This location is so beautiful and such a perfect solution for Seattle families searching for a dry place to take photos on our rainy winter days. The best part is that you feel like you're outside AND if the sun does shine through the clouds, the conservatory is smack dab in the middle of a giant park with views of the city and the sound. So if the kids get bored of plants, we can also go outside and play!

As always, thank you so much Dullum family for another beautiful Seattle family photography session and for choosing the Happy Film Company. This was photo shoot #8 I believe - woohoo!! :) // Chamonix
